This policy is part of the Terms and Conditions of GMS YACHTING (TWILIGHTHARBOR, LDA, NIF 518942503, RNAAT n.º 335/2026).
1. How to cancel
Any cancellation must be sent in writing by email to contact@gmsyachting.com (WhatsApp messages are accepted if we confirm receipt in writing). The date we receive the message is the cancellation date. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding Portuguese public holidays.
2. Cancellation by the client
Notice before the trip date
Refund
More than 45 working days
70% of the total amount
From 15 to 45 working days
50% of the total amount
Less than 15 working days, or no-show
No refund
Light weather conditions (cloudy sky, light rain, moderate wind) are not a reason for cancellation, and the above rules apply.
3. Date changes
Once the booking is confirmed, the date cannot be changed at the client’s request.
If a booking has been rescheduled (for any reason) and the client then cancels the new date, no refund is given.
4. Bad weather
If wind, storm or other conditions do not allow the trip to be carried out safely, GMS YACHTING may postpone it at no extra cost and will propose a new date, subject to availability. If no new date is possible or acceptable to the client, 100% of the amount paid is refunded. The decision is taken by the skipper for safety reasons.
5. Technical problem with the vessel
If a technical problem prevents the trip, GMS YACHTING will offer a similar replacement vessel when available, a new date, or a refund of the amounts paid for the service not provided (in proportion to the unused time if the problem happens during the trip), without any further compensation, except where required by law.
6. Cancellation by GMS YACHTING
If GMS YACHTING cancels a confirmed booking for any other reason, the client receives a full refund of the amounts paid.
7. Trip ended for breach of the rules
If the trip is ended early because guests do not follow the safety instructions or the rules on board, no refund is due, to the extent permitted by law.
8. How refunds are paid
Send your refund request by email to contact@gmsyachting.com with your booking details and a document showing your IBAN in the name of the payer.
Refunds are paid by bank transfer within 14 days of receiving the complete request.
Payment fees charged by third parties (for example PayPal) are not refundable, where permitted by law.
9. Right of withdrawal
Under Article 17(1)(l) of Decreto-Lei n.º 24/2014, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to leisure services booked for a specific date. This policy applies instead.
