GMS Yachting is a licensed local yacht charter company (RNAAT 335/2026) based in Parque das Nações, offering yachts, catamarans, sailboats, speedboats, fishing boats and event boats, always with a professional skipper on board. Cruise the Tagus river past Belém Tower, the 25 de Abril bridge and the historic centre, or sail along the Cascais coast and the Portuguese Riviera. We also have boats in the Algarve (Lagos, Vilamoura, Faro), Setúbal, Sesimbra and Porto.
Every charter is private, only your group on board, from 2 hours to a full day, priced per boat with rates from 200 €. Perfect for sunset cruises, birthdays, bachelor parties, proposals, family days and corporate events. Which boat for your group?
For couples and small groups of 2 to 8 guests, a sailboat or a speedboat is perfect for a romantic sunset or a quick escape on the Tagus. For 8 to 18 guests, choose a motor yacht or a catamaran with sun decks, shade and a swim platform. For birthdays, bachelor parties and corporate events of 20 to 230 guests, our large catamarans and event boats offer lounges, bars and professional sound systems.
When to rent a boat in Lisbon?
Boat rental in Lisbon is possible all year round, with the best weather from April to October. Summer days are ideal to sail along the coast towards Cascais and swim, while the sunset cruise is the favourite moment of the day: plan your departure about two hours before sunset. In winter, enjoy calm cruises on the river with the city lights.
Where do the boats depart from?
In Lisbon, our boats depart from Doca de Alcântara, Doca de Santo Amaro and Marina Parque das Nações, close to the city centre. All over Portugal, you can also sail from Marina de Cascais, Setúbal and Sesimbra on the Arrábida coast, the Douro river in Porto, and in the Algarve from Lagos, Vilamoura and Faro. The exact meeting point is sent with your booking confirmation.

How much does it cost to rent a boat in Lisbon?
Prices are per boat, not per person: from 200€ for a small boat for 2 hours, around 400€ to 1,000€ for most sailboats, yachts and catamarans, and more for superyachts and event boats. The skipper is always included. VAT is not included.
Do I need a boat licence?
No. Every boat rental in Lisbon comes with a professional skipper, so no licence or sailing experience is needed. You just relax and enjoy the trip.
Can we swim during the boat trip?
Yes. On trips of 3 hours or more, the skipper can stop in a quiet spot along the coast for a swim, weather and sea conditions permitting.
